Djenaba has been motivated by movement since her earliest recollections and has been a dancer since her childhood. Ms. Palmer honed her floor moves at The LaRocque Bey School of Dance Theatre, Dance Art Creative Center, Center Stage Dance Studio, Teaneck Terpsicoreans, and Broadway Dance Center. Her passion and skill has been nurtured under the tutelage of artists who have choreographed for Alvin Ailey Dance Company. After studying jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap and hip-hop, Ms. Palmer has decided to specialize in Hip Hop and Jazz Contemporary dance to express her talents.

She is currently a sophomore at Delaware State University. She recently earned the solo performance spot with the LimitLess Fashion Club Team at the 10th annual HBCU Fashion Battle in Maryland. She is currently choreographing for The Hidden Vanity Dance Team, Hidden Vanity, which dances during special events and maintains its own calendar of shows.

Ms. Palmer aspires to perform and teach others the wonders of dance as a form of expression and healing. In her words, “I am transformed each time I step on stage, I embody the rhythm and the emotion of music. I want people to feel it with me.”
